The same natural forces of pressure and disintegration that slowly dismantle man made implements in junkyards are also continually shaping our landscape. I see these geological formations as organic patterns recalling a history of change in a constant but slow state of flux.
I enjoy hiking through all the different landscapes where I've lived. I have painted a series of Southern Illinois cliffs and bluffs in the parks of Giant City and Garden of the Gods. The shores of New Jersey, where I had lived for many years, inspired another landscape series.
